What it is

Quizalize is a classroom assessment platform that turns quick quizzes into highly engaging games while giving teachers, leaders, and parents real-time visibility into learning.

At its core, it combines standards-aligned content, live gameplay, and mastery dashboards so that assessment becomes something useful in the flow of teaching rather than a separate administrative task.

It has been used by teachers in more than 180 countries and has generated a very large body of classroom interaction and performance data over time.

What makes it special

What makes Quizalize distinctive is the way it brings engagement and insight together. The games are not a layer added on top of assessment; they are part of a system that produces meaningful teaching data.

It also benefits from a deep content and data moat: curriculum coverage across many regions, large libraries of teacher-created and institution-backed quizzes, and detailed mastery tagging that makes the product increasingly valuable over time.

The product feels practical in the classroom, but underneath that simplicity is a carefully built flywheel of content, analytics, and product design.

What I did

In the first year of operation I implemented the first Quizalize prototype myself. Since then I have led a team of engineers, designers, and marketers, taking the product to become one of the world’s leading classroom quiz game applications.

As well as building and leading that team, I had full responsibility for the core product: strategy, roadmap, prioritisation, feature specification, and testing.

I also personally implemented the marketing pages for the Quizalize website.
